  1. Parallel articles to that highlighted from the “Guardian” have appeared in several papers.
    Other stations ( Like – Liverpool St ) have been doing this for some time, to people’s intrense annoyance.
    You can be on the concourse, right by the barriers, the train is probably right in front of you, about 20-30 seconds away & you DO NOT KNOW WHICH PLATFORM it’s on …
    How this practice can actually be stopped, however, is another problem.

    The DLR started doing it. You can a literally (meaning literally) make a 10 second escalator ride (Stratford International) to the open door of the waiting train, but the screen telling you that is not there.

    Perhaps the people who want to force other people into rushing should find out where screen are located.

    I wrote my own lie-proof app for this very reason.
