Transport for London has put developers on notice for an ambitious plan to build up to a dozen high-rise blocks alongside Tube train tracks in Acton, west London.
The plan for a long ribbon site has been designed by architect HOK and will be brought forward in several phases to the south of Acton Town station.
A second site will also be developed within a few hundred metres at Ealing Common train depot, and together both are planned to deliver more than 1,700 new homes, over 2,000 m2 of offices, retail and significant public realm improvements.
The first scheme to be brought forward at Bollo Lane is a 2.8-hectare site located directly south of Acton Town London Underground Station. A hybrid planning application has recently been submitted to the London Borough of Ealing.
