Regarding the elegantly simple and gentle fun-poking response to driver-lite taxis in San. Fran. I just wanted to know who thought it up. Presumably you can put anything anywhere on the car because it has to be covered in sensors.
Otherwise, if there are none on the roof, I can see a whole new pastime for indolent kids on their summer break ~ taxi-top surfing!
The BBC link is pointing to the LR site admin page…
[Cheers, I have updated the link. LBM]
Link to How the disused Wilbraham Road station was picked for the Blues & Gospel Train show is broken. Tris to open a blog page in edit mode (hence a WP login box is shown).
[I have corrected the link. Please try again. LBM]
The entire Granada Gospel Train is also on YouTube…

The Wilbraham Rd BBC link still goes to the login page at https://www.londonreconnections.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.londonreconnections.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D37288%26action%3Dedit&reauth=1, not to the BBC item.
Looks like the correct BBC link should be https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-manchester-27256401.
[Cheers Betterbee – don’t know what happened to my previous update, but it’s corrected and double checked now. LBM]
Re. Wilbraham Road dressed up as Chorltonville, which is a reference to the common US naming style and to the actual location of Chorlton, there is a nearby location of that name. It’s like a mini garden city, slightly posher than Chorlton, and strangely Google Streetview has not visited.
I was nearby on the date of the event, but sadly not aware of it.
