  1. Not thge first time that “BR” have made a really good anti-trespass film.
There was the one where it was made a game, with the most deaths & horrific injuries “winning” – eugh.

    LOVE the tram locations.
The Antwerp one I know – it’s wonderful sitting in an Antwerp Bar ( Shut up! ) whilst the metre-gauge trams slide past in the narrow street,

  2. Citylab has some more really interesting articles, especially around public space / systemic racism matters. It’s a good read. The article about 16th St. in DC brought a smile to my face.

On the classic tram spots, their squeezing through the Zytglogge in Bern was a favourite of mine, but Streetview reveals that the tracks have been taken up (except for within the arch)

so my other recommendation is the perfect circle etched around Karolinenplatz and its obelisk in Munich

  3. Sorry to spoil your memory Nickbxn, but the trams never ran though that arch. A double track ran to the right of the image for what was latterly tram route 8 to Schosshalde. This was replaced by trolleybuses in January 1941 and the tracks quickly removed. I think what is seen in the arch is just a pattern in the paving.

  4. P.S. Could you be thinking of the Käfigturm at the western end of Marktgasse? One track runs through it and one to the side there.
