Love that spiral bridge – can we have more like it?
“The Atlantic” article ob flying is so true … but the problem is … politicians…
Who still se flying as “sexy” & through a misty lens of 1950’s overenthusiasm.
Of course, they don’t usually have to go through all the security theatre & bureaucracy of the airlines, so they haven’t a clue just how universaly appalling flying actually is.
{ Being in the aircraft, while it’s actually flying is the GOOD bit. ]
That redesigned parking control sign is very good – you can comprehend the regulations in an instant. Call me impressed.
(Too much of London streetspace is devoted to parking – but that’s a different argument. Whilst we still have on-street parking, clear signs like this should be adopted)
Can you change “Masks now mandatory on UK transport” to ..”England transport..” please as that’s the only one of the four UK nations it applies to.
[Updated, cheers. Although masks are an excellent idea anywhere inside not your own vehicle or building, to prevent spreading to others. LBM]

The parking signs are good, but now antiquated as more and better information can be provided on line. In London, an app provides GPS based information about parking requirements at the space where you have stopped – whether you can park or not, for how long, how much and an opportunity to pay through the app. This is now being integrated into car based satnav systems along with realtime information about spaces available. No longer is it a question of getting your satnav to take you to your location and then look for a parking space, the app will take you directly to the nearest free parking space to your destination. That’s not to say that conventional road signs will disappear but that fewer and fewer people will rely on them.
