  1. Having used Penn Central in the past, I really do hope it gets redeveloped.

I’m surprised the NYT isn’t more scathing about it. It’s well and truly horrible!

  2. @glbotu

I’ve replaced the Sergey Brin link with one from Bloomberg, which has a bit more detail. However the video is not related to the airship, just the text. Thanks to Greg T for finding this link. LBM

  3. @ LBM – the Bloomberg link as posted above has extraneous info in it meaning it doesn’t work either.

[Cheers. I’ve fixed my fix. LBM]

  4. @SOUTHERN HEIGHTS (LIGHT RAILWAY)

After more than fifty years, New Yorkers have run out of terms of abuse for the replacement Penn Station. The verdict of architectural historian Vincent Scully sums it up. “One entered the city like a god. One scuttles in now like a rat.”

  5. Aghh… the long link in the first comment renders the rest of the comments unreadable, on android google chrome and all other browsers. This is affecting other articles too. Please don’t post long links in comments until the site template gets fixed.

  6. What a load of nonsense the article about the cost of a travel card is.

No meaningful tables listing the price in other major cities for example.

Nor any analysis about how much tax payer subsidy is involved in the costs of running rhe systems. TFL gets very little subsity for day to day operations for example whereas in other cities they do.

Nor any that relates to the cost of living. Yes Mumbai has a cost that is 1/12th of London but how does that relate to the income level?

Nor any data about cancellations between one system and another.

If LR wanted to link to the Deutsche Bank analysis then why not post a link direct to the source instead of the nonsense from ‘Londonlovesbusiness’ ?
